It's Been Too Long Since This Arrived From Too Many Verlanders

Aloha, everybody,

Happy 2019! I've got a few bits of news to drop on you all, and the first order of business is this new YouTube video showing off the holiday cardboard goodies that I received from my long-time trading partner, Dennis, over at Too Many Verlanders. Hope you'll check it out.

I also hope that you'll continue to check out the content on my NEW YouTube channel - NetChucArts. This ATBATT video is its inaugural upload.

I created the new channel because I'll be expanding the vaiety and amount of YouTube content I'll be creating in 2019. I'll still be creating Dodgers news and opinion videos, but those will remain on the LA Dodger Report channel.

I'll be filling NetChucArts, my new YouTube channel, with content about our card collecting hobby, as well as beer reviews, my quest to rebuild my vinyl records collection, and whatever else should strike me as video-worthy.

In addition, I'll also be showcasing my art work on the new channel. A couple of you know that I'm an artist, so I look forward to you joining me on YouTube as I share my creations. Perhaps we'll shift those shares into the next level as you bring some of my original art into your own homes.

That's all to come as 2019 unfolds. Please enjoy my first upload and take a few seconds to Like and Subscribe to my new channel.

Aloha!

I also review International Relations IPA from Bootlegger's Brewery out of Fullerton, CA.

Check it all out in the vid. Please remember to "Like" it. That helps my standings in the YouTube algorithms. Thanks in advance, and THANKS a ton, Brad! Get it? A ton.  Aloha!

Let's Open a Value Pak of Flagship Topps and Review a Beer

Aloha, everybody,

So I've got a couple of value packs of cards and a few beers to review. Life is good!

We'll start things off with a pack of 2018 Topps flagship and see what we can see. I've also got a beer from Denmark. A sour ale from To Ol Brewery. It's called "A ton of Black Currant" because it's brewed with a ton of black currant.

Let's take a ride...

A Youtube Video: Will the Dodgers Fire Dave Roberts?

Aloha, everybody,

After the disastrous weekend series in which the lowly Reds swept the even lowlier Dodgers, the dreaded question has begun to swirl: Will Dodgers manager Dave Roberts be fired?

I drop my take in this youtube video. Sorry, no beer review this time, but I anticipate a stand-alone beer review video over the next couple of days. Enjoy, and thanks for watching, in advance.

PS: John Miller, your package arrived today. Will be opening after dinner. THANKS!

ICYMI: My Youtube Video Making the Case for the Dodgers to Retire Fernando's Number

Aloha, everybody,

Tonight the Dodgers made franchise history by pitching a combined no-hitter behind young Walker Buehler and three other bullpen pitchers.

The game was played against the San Diego Padres in Monterey, Mexico through five innings of an absolute downpour. It was amazing to watch. Fernando Valenzuela threw out the first pitch, and the Dodgers touted their former phenom for all he was worth.

The event prompted me to make a video calling for the team to finally retire his number. I made the vid yesterday, and there's an included beer review for what it's worth.

I hope you'll give a watch and hope further that you'll enjoy!

Aloha!

Inside I talk about what makes this the biggest and most critical series of the young season fr the Dodgers, and I deliver a beer review of a big coffee porter from Pizza Port Brewing outta Carlsbad, CA.

Forget About Pace of Play, How About the Pace of Discipline?

Aloha, everybody,

Do you remember last year's World Series, when Yuli Gurriel made a racist gesture towards Yu Darvish after hitting a home run?

MLB agreed it was racist and offensive enough to suspend him for five games, but was hesitant to impose the suspension during the WS. They put it off until this, the new season.

What played out is a travesty of baseball justice and an insult to anyone who was awaiting that disciplinary measure to take place.

Here's my take on a short Youtube video:

It's a Friday Night Youtube Video and Beer Review

Aloha, everybody,

It's Friday night, and I'm chilling here at home, so I put together a short and sweet Youtube video giving a few takes on the state of the Dodgers at this point in Spring Training.

Stop on by and give a watch, if that kind of thing appeals. If that doesn't work for you, there's also a segment with a beer review. It's a very pleasant surprise - an IPA straight outta Belgium.

Watch and enjoy!

Goodbye to Yu (Darvish) A new Youtube Video

Aloha, everybody,

So Yu Darvish took the money and ran – off to the Windy City.
Well, I say, “Good riddance”, and don’t let the “tip” of the door hit you on the way out. We hardly knew ye - Yu?-, but Dodgers fans knew this bum long enough to know he's a big tipper. Sure, the recipients of the tips love it, but LA, not so much.
After loyalty from the front officde, his teammates and his manager, the mercenary turned his back on a 2018 run at the World Series with the team he knew, and ran off to join the enemy. Because this is a semi-family-friendly blog, I'll leave it there, and humbly ask you check out my Youtube video about the whole sordid affair.
Also in the video: A Beer review of Victory art Sea, a delicious chocolate and vanilla porter from Ballast Point Brewing.
Enjoy, and as always, please “like” the video. Comments also appreciated. :)

To Strike or not to Strike - A Youtube Video

Aloha, everybody,

Have you heard the rumors of a possible players strike taking out the 2018 season?

Here's a Youtube video with my take on the millionaires vs billionaires battle royale, and a beer review of the most excellent collaboration beer, El Camino de (Un) Real, from Stone, 21st Amendment, and Fireston Walker brewing companies.

There's a lot going on, including an annoying fan sound in the background (sorry bout that). I hope that won't stop you from enjoying a quick and humble video from little ol' me.

So the Dodgers Passed on Giancarlo Stanton...

Aloha, everybody,

Sure it's a bit late, especially on the east coast, where Giancarlo Stanton will apparently stay for the next decade.

But it's not too late here on the western side of the country, where the wildfires are keeping us awake.

I launched a quickie YouTube video with my thoughts on the Giancarlo Stanton/ Dodgers affair, and for good measure, I tossed in a beer review. It's IPA from Mad River Brewing, out of Humbold County, very northern California.

Watch and enjoy, please. Don't forget to "Like" the video (if you happen to). Thanks and aloha!
