Aloha, everybody, Time for me to drop a new painting. This one is a small, simple painting inspired by my front yard cactus and her flowers. Enjoy. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, Today's video is a used vinyl review. Back in the first wave of Los Angeles Punk Rock, there were two scenes: Hollywood and East L.A. The Brat hailed from the east side, and their music still rocks on. Check out their album and their connection to the biggest punk band to come out of Los Angeles. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, Here's the third in my three-part series of small abstract paintings. This one is untitled (for now), it's 12 x 16 inches, oil paint on board. (Yes, PennySleeves, you've seen this one) Thanks for watching. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, In breaking news out of the Dodgers' Spring Training camp, Clayton Kershaw's pitching routine has been stopped "for a couple of days". Kershaw reported feeling discomfort after a bullpen session on Wednesday. Should Dodger fans worry?
Aloha, everybody, Another hit on my quest to replace my old Punk/New Wave vinyl. Pearl Harbor and the Explosions came from the New Wave scene outta San Francisco. Does their music hold up over the years? Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, The Clash's London Calling album cover is the greatest in rock and roll history. This is the story of my humble connection to that immortal photo of Paul Simonon crashing his guitar onto the stage of the NY Palladium's stage. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, In breaking news out of the Dodgers' Spring Training camp, hard-luck, fan favorite, Andrew Toles, has not reported to camp, and there is no timetable on when he will. The unfortunate part of this story is Toles has a long history of these kinds of situations. More in my video below. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, Let's take a look at one of my favorite alt-rock bands to come out of the late 80s - early 90s. The first wave of Punk rock and New Wave were fading. New bands were popping up across the country and college radio was exposing me to their new sounds weekly. Downy Mildew hit the spot with male/female vocalists, moody, atmospheric tunes and tight musicianship. They come highly recommended. As always, thanks for watching, and Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, Here's the second in my three-part series of small paintings. Fire in the Temple, Oil on Board, 11 x 14 inches Thanks for watching. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, The Dodgers have barely cracked the seal on Spring Training, and they already have their first controversy of the 2019 season - courtesy of ex-Dodger coach/new Texas Rangers manager, Chris Woodward. He says the Rangers have better team chemistry than the Dodgers. Is he right? Here's my take. Aloha
Aloha, everybody, Next up in my used vinyl reviews is an oldie but a goodie from 1973. Deliver The Word from WAR. This album brought us a couple of big hits, a real clunker, and a hidden gem. Enjoy. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, This video is the first in a series of three showing some recent small paintings. Leading off is: Parkland (17 Shots to the Heart) Aloha

Aloha, everybody, Welcome to the second part of the package of awesomeness that good ol' Wes sent to me. Did you watch thePart 1 video ? Lemme tell ya, you aint seen nothin' yet. Mi hermano absolutely blows the doors off with the goods contained in Part 2. Wes' Kung Fu is very, very strong. Enjoy, Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, There's only one man I know who retires from the game, but still continues to lay it down twice as hard as many of us shmucks who claim to be relevant in the collecting game. Of course I'm talking about none other than mi hermano from Hazel Green. Of course you know him too, as many of you received packages from good ol' Wes recently. I've seen your blog posts showing off the cardboard goodies that he rained upon you. Autographs, memorabilia cards, limited editions - Wes brought all of it. Lemme tell ya, he hit me with a package that blew...me...away. There was so much cardboard goodness in there, I had to make two videos to showcase it all. So indulge me, collecting brethren and sistren (?), as I submit for your approval, Part 1 of the Alabama Surprise. THANKS, hermano! Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, I received a surprise package from Japan, and it turns out it was a Zapping from our old friend, ZZ. Inside was all kinda goodness, foreign and domestic (no matter which side of the Pacific you're standing on), and a bonus mini-CD. Let's have a look. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, Here's a beer review to lead off this week's videos on NetChucArts. This is a pumpkin-spiced lager from Los Angeles Ale Works. Enjoy the video, which leads into this week's videos of surprise packages from mi hermano, Wes, and the legendary Zippy Zappy. Aloha!
Aloha, everybody, Duke Snider is gone, but he'll never be forgotten. This is the story of how an article I wrote for LA Dodger Report brought me into contact (in a small way) with the Duke of Flatbush. Aloha!
