Aloha, everybody,
I wanted to go to the card show today...but alas...things didn't work out. So let's do the next best thing and check out some cards that I got on my last trip there.
Everybody knows, I love my Dodgers, but this here's the greatest catcher ever...
Here's a new addition for my World Series subsets. I have Games 4, 5, and 6 from this set...
Fleer is a bit of a junk product, but they put together some great combo cards...
Now let's get really vintage...
Maybe fear struck out, but my card searching on that day didn't. Every collection of baseball's legends has gotta have this guy...
You better have one of his cards too...
Did I find any Dodgers? You betcha. Slightly miscut, but I'll take it. A bargain for a quarter in the overpriced LA card market...
More heroes from the Windy City...(all of these are available for trade remember)...
How about some Curt Flood? The Hall of Fame won't let him in...but my collection sure will...
You probably already have about five of this one, right, Mark?
I love those stadium archways in the background.
We'll finish off with a cool LA Angels card from 1961 Topps.
I LOVE vintage! Aloha!

I Joined the 2017 Topps Opening Party. Here's How I Did
Aloha, everybody,
I struck out when I tried to find 2017 Topps on it's release date, but managed to track some down yesterday. The only products available were boxes with one large cello-wrapped pack inside.
The rear card looked interesting...

I grabbed one. Here's the top card. Yet another long-haired Mets pitcher. Kaz scored.
The rear card looked interesting...
I opened the pack, and three cards in, I pulled my first Dodger of 2017...
I think Van Slick is raising his knee in an attempt to protect himself from that dangerous looking pointy thing aimed at his Van Privates.
I pulled a couple more Dodger players.
Howie, don't land on that pointy thing!
What's with that spear tip endangering all my Dodgers?
My cello-pack contained a few inserts, some easier to catch than others...

"I don't pitch on shabbos!" |
These 5-Tool player inserts are cool, but I wish Hanley was pictured as a Dodger...
Here's the rear...
I caught a few MLB Award inserts. Here's one for the Kris Bryant Marching and Chowder Society...
These blue ones are seeded 1:133.
This card is a Father's Day insert, but I guess not a Father's Day parallel? Hmmmm.
Here's my favorite card from the bunch...
These red ones are seeded 1:265
I pulled around six of these League Leader cards...
Finally, that Ryno card...
Well, that box was Cubs-heavy, but that's what happens when you win the World Series. At least the Cubbies are finally pushing the Giants out of heavy rotation.
Aloha!

Trade Me (Almost) Anything - Cubbies!
Hey everybody,
I've been a bit busy these days, so I haven't posted as often as we'd like, but I have enough time to toss out a quickie bait batch of Chicago Cubs.
Let's lead off with a HOFer who also pitched for the Boys n Blue...
How about an old time Cub...
And a newbie...
What's my favorite gum? BAH - ZOOKA !!
All jokes aside, here come a couple more Chicago greats from the past....
Remember this guy?
Where's that Cubbie love?
