Went to the Shrine of the Eternals and an Autograph Convention Broke Out

Aloha, everybody,

Last Sunday I headed out to Pasadena for the 20th Induction Ceremony of the Shrine of the Eternals. The class of 2018 included Rusty Staub, Nancy Faust and Tommy John. There was also an appearance from the San Diego Chicken ( a former inductee as well).

It was a great day for baseball lovers such as myself, but the autograph collector inside of me grimaced at the mockery made by autograph hounds who took advantage of the celebrity and athlete's goodwill.

Hope you enjoy the video, and if you do watch, please do so on the Youtube site. Your views on Youtube help the channel generate buzz. Thanks and Aloha!

The Militarization of Sports - Patriotism or Cashing In on War?

Aloha, everybody,

An article was published a few days ago about a couple of veterans who are speaking out against the militarization of sports and the commercializing that is coming along with that.

The state of perpetual war that we find ourselves in and this exploiting of veterans for profit is a topic that strikes close to my personal values, so I fired up the ol' video camera and delivered a few takes of my own.

Give a watch and don't forget to give a "Like" on the Youtube channel. Much appreciated.

Today I Crack Open A Package From Julie

Aloha, everybody,

A couple of weeks ago, I received a package with a return address, but no name on it. I set it aside to later make a video and thought nothing of it.

A few days ago, I got an email from Julie over at A Cracked Bat, asking if I had received her package. She was a bit worried as she had sent several out, but no one had acknowledged receipt. Turns out the package I mentioned earlier was from her.

I tell this story as a gentle reminder that when we can, we should let the other know their package or PWE has arrived safely. No need for a grand gesture, I'm sure a short note will do. I'll do exactly that and mention I've got PWEs from Scribbled Ink, T Henson, and a package from JBF. Videos with your stuff coming soon.

Here's the video for the package from Julie, with a beer review for Booming Rollers IPA from Modern Times Brewing in San Diego, CA.

Thanks for watching, and please remember to Like and Subscribe over at the Youtube link.

Aloha!
