The weekend of trade bait mania continues.

1988 Fleer
Wizards are red, but Benches are red too...

1974 Topps 300

This uniforms been dipped in both colors, the red and the blue...

2005 Upper Deck Hall of Fame Essential Enshrinement 46/5
Fergie Jenkins double dipped for the Rangers, and quess what-  he played twice for the Cubbies too.

Here's wild card trade bait, for the basketball all-stars, bringing love in swatches of blue...

Trade Me (Almost) Anything - Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays swam into Dodger Stadium tonight for the FIRST TIME EVER - and the Boys welcomed them with a sweet come from behind, walk off victory !

I don't know much about the Rays, but now I know this guy is a heck of a pitcher...

We got him out of the way, chipped away away at a previous 4 -run deficit, and got some awesome  9th inning heroics from this guy....

El Jaguar strikes again!
But enough gushing about the FIRST PLACE DODGERS.  Let's get on to the rest of this fishy trade bait.  Here's the Rays...

A double shot of ex-Ray, present Dodgers hero, CC.

Finishing up with a couple of sweet horizontals - the way the Boys left the fish layin' tonight in Chavez Ravine.

Dodgers Win!! YAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOO !!

Trade Me (Almost) Anything: Colorado Rockies

Hey everybody,

Happy Saturday out there.  I'm pretty swamped this weekend - starting with poker tonight - so here comes a quickie post of bait from this weekend's Dodger opponents:

************************************************************************************************************************************************
Here's how it works In each post I'll offer cards from one particular ballclub.  I'm starting the offer at 9 cards, since 9 is what fits onto my scanner plate, and I can comfortably shoot 9 cards to you in a PWE.

What do I want in return?  I'll accept whatever and however many cards you want to shoot back. It doesn't have to be 9 cards in return and they don't have to be all Dodgers.  My only request is you check out my "What I collect" or "Sets I'm chasing" pages here and use them as guides.

Once again, you don't have to match me for numbers of cards or perceived monetary value.  Say I send you 9 cards and you send me 1insert or vintage card.  Cool!

The intent here is simply to  TRADE, BABY, TRADE!

Trade Me (Almost) Anything: Angels Edition

Hey everybody,

Here comes a crop of cards for you Angels collectors out there.  I also have a bit of pimpage for you all.  Bert, over at Swing And A Pop Up  is offering up Angels cards as well.

So with at least two blogs offering up cards, it's a nice time to be an Angels collector.  However, I'm hoping the Dodgers can build on the momentum of last night's come-from-behind win and make it a hard time to be an Angels fan again today.

Before I get to those Angels cards I have two extra notes:
1. I want to acknowledge some great trade packages that have arrived over the past 10 days or so.  I received packages full of goodies from Cardboard Heaven, Chunter and yet even more Hy-Grades from Swing And A Pop Up.  THANKS for all the great stuff, boys!  Posts will be coming up.

2. In another sports battle of California cities, the L.A. Kings are playing the San Jose Sharks in Game 7 of their playoff series.  The Kings just went up 2-0 as I typed this! Justin williams is now looking for a hat trick.  Go Kings!

Now back to baseball cards.   Here's an Angels assortment of different uniforms and names:

THANKS for reading, everybody!

Posts on Trades on Cards

hey everybody,

it seems i'm no different than a lot of my blogger brethren who fall behind on putting up trade posts.  my hat's off to those of you who have the discipline to stay on top of it.

Kerry has been posting some great trade bait of past players over at the cool blog Cards on Cards.  go on over there and check his posts from october.  there might be some good stuff remaining.

(note: in the latest frustrating development with blogger, i can no longer use red for the color of the font in my links.  links now accept only the color blue. hence, the almost invisible font on links. *sheesh*)

i was able to pick up some great cards to fill out my player collections. first up, mike schmidt...

these 'legends' series cards look great.  this is a most excellent shot of the proper way to play the hot corner.

the proper way to watch a bomb sail over the fence

anybody know about that '100' patch on his arm?  is that 100 years for the phillie franchise?  maybe 100 years of philly cheese steak sandwiches?

MVP!

above is a great card of the hit king.  we recently had a good back-and-forth here in ATBATT about cheating players.  i wrote a post about mark mcgwire and mentioned pete rose.  a couple of folks weighed in with their opinions and i really appreciated that.

sure, it's fun to have a blog and opine on all things large and small, but it's even better when you, my readers and fellow bloggers drop in with your thoughts. we call it a community for a reason.

speaking of cheaters, here's LA's most famous member of that club.  i hear manny is still playing in some off-league somewhere.  if he can work his way back into baseball shape, i would be really interested in seeing how he does...with a different club.
THANKS for the great trade, Kerry !
